#QuiltsforPulse Charity Drive with the Orlando MQG

on July 2 | in Sew Good (Charity Sewing) | by | with 1 Comment

The Orlando Modern Quilt Guild is collecting quilts and blocks for survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting on June 12. The guild hopes to also give #QuiltsforPulse quilts to families of victims, as well as first responders, doctors and more individuals who helped that night. You can learn all about how to contribute a quilt or block on the Modern Quilt Guild website. Rainbow hearts are the theme, and blocks are due 8/15 (quilts due 9/15). Follow #quiltsforpulse on Instagram for updates.

Stitching up love, warmth and comfort is a powerful way to send good out to the world. When we’re overwhelmed with sadness and feel powerless to help, there’s always a way to make a difference. This is one way you can send your love to Orlando…

  1. Thanks for posting about this! If you’re in NYC, we’re hosting a sew-in on July 24th to make blocks and finish quilts. We’ll be sending them a big box from Gotham Quilts and our customers! Here’s a link for more info: https://gothamquilts.com/event/quilts-pulse-charity-sewing-day/
