About Us

Kristin Link is Mama to two girls and the owner of SMS. She's a former educator who loved teaching and training, but now feels incredibly lucky to be buying and selling fabric for a living. Life gets in the way of many of her sewing goals, but she still manages to make a few bags, baby toys and small gifty things every once in awhile. When it happens, you're sure to hear about it on the blog.

Beth Wilson is our blog editor. Another former teacher, she knows how to make the blog both fun and informative. Although she comes off as very friendly in all her blog posts and emails, we assure you, she's even nicer in real life. Beth sews things for her 100-year-old house and her son and daughter.

Irene Rodegerdts started out as one of our blog board members and now fills in all over the place. She is our forum hostess, making sure questions get answered, concerns get addressed and spammers get 86'd. She also manages our photo pools, helps out in the shop, and writes awesome tutorials. You can learn more about Irene's crafty life on her Mushroom Villagers blog.

Liz Ward works in our shop. As a busy mom, her list of projects always exceeds her time in front of the sewing machine. But when she does get there, she enjoys making bags, soft toys, pillows, garments, and quilts. You can check in with her at the irregularly updated blog Plumage: Making Everyday.
Gabrien has been sewing since middle school (she says, "don't ask, it's a long time!") and loves to sew dolls with cute little accessories, hats, quilts, and much more. When she's not sewing she's driving kids to various activities, gardening with her husband and trying to keep up with an active dog. You can also find her three days a week happily trotting around the Sew,Mama,Sew! shop with bolts of fabric to cut for your orders.
