Introducing ~ Jacquie

From Beth: We love Jacquie’s stunning quilts, and the way she writes about quilting. You can learn a lot more about Jacquie’s approach in her FAQ post; it’s full of lots of great information about how she got started, tips about quilting and much more. Visit Tallgrass Prairie Studio and take a look around! Jacquie writes that quilting “feeds her creative soul!”

From Jacquie: Hi! I’m Jacquie from Tallgrass Prairie Studio. I’m a city girl living on 100 acres in beautiful northeast Kansas. My husband and I are enjoying our first months as empty nesters. Quilting is my thing. My mother taught me to sew as a young girl, but it’s only been in the last year and a half that I’ve had the time to flex my creative muscles. I love designing and making modern quilts that preserve touches of the traditional. I’m in the middle of my first solo quilt exhibit at a small gallery in Kansas City and relishing every minute I can spend in my studio sewing. In my free time I redecorate rooms and tweak the landscape around my house. Sometimes I even cook.
