On June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court of the United States determined that states may not deny marriage licenses to same-sex couples and must recognize their existing marriages. For the LGBTQ community, as well as advocates and allies, it was a huge cause for celebration. The next day, 37 quilters organized to express their joy and sense of optimism by creating the #LoveWins Quilt.
