I love both of them!  Do you have a pattern? And if so, where can one buy it?

I just joined and was wondering if anyone on here has a BabyLock Melody? I'm saving to get one and just wanted some pros and cons.

Thank you,

I want to make a commercial 48" Christmas tree skirt into a wearable cape.  Any ideas or hints?

Hello fellow Michiganders!

I am new to Michigan and am trying to find new friends and groups to get involved with. I am relearning to sew after taking a 20+ year break. I am interested in making retro or rockabilly clothing. My favorite style of dress is the 1950s wiggle dress.

Happy sewing!

I've hears Bella Solids are also good. Fabric.com has a few different brands, including FreeSpirit solids, Amy Butler solids that are sometimes on sale.

I'd sell them on etsy.com or ebay. Buyer pays the shipping. I've bought myself a new home and a couple cars from what I sold in scraps on etsy.  Cheesy

I'm pretty sure fabric.com has the cotton or bamboo w/lycra blends you're looking for. As far as the elastic goes, I was reading Verypurpleperson (Novita's blog) the other day and she discussed the kind of soft, dyed elastic that you're probably looking for.  She lives outside of the U.S., so might not name any sources for buying, but you could find out the name of the elastic that way. Good luck!

Try missingfabrics.com. You could also call or email McCall's pattern company and ask them. The photo properties say it's from McCall's pattern M6529.  Or, like I did once when I was in the same predicament, you can join the next Sew Mama Sew giveaway (if they still do them) and part of qualifying for an extra giveaway prize, ask people to comment on what fabric it is.  I got several comments on what my mystery fabric was and was able to to a swap with a commenter who had some.  Hope that helps  Wink
