Oh, it looks so good!  Way to go.  I'll have to try that!

You will have to share how you did it.  I'm really interested!

I agree with dixiemango, I'd love to know how you did it.  I love the colors you chose for the quilt!

To echo everyone else - this looks fabulous. I'm going to try it.  Beth

It looks great!! The colors are beautiful!   I love it!  Yes, you should tell us all how you did it... I am having a hard enough time just putting a ruffle on my little girls skirt!
Can you post a picture of the whole quilt.  I would love to see it!

Yay, sugarscrap!  I was wondering how your ruffle edge was progressing.  Did you use the prairie point method I sent or did you try something else??

It looks fabulous!

heres what i did...

made ruffle..
sewed ruffle to top of backing & batting..
turned ruffle over 1/4" towards inside..
ironed to keep it in place..
turned quilt top under to hide seam of ruffle..
i usually use glue to do this step and then it washes out when i wash it....
sewed a decorative stitch through all 3 layers, top side up....
ironed again and then washed...

sorry about the lighting but this is the front of the quilt...

back of quilt..

closeup of edge stitch.

Super cute! I have a book around here with a pattern for a baby blanket with a ruffle... I think they made a much wider one, but I like how you did it!
And I LOVE the color scheme! Gorgeous!
