robot cushion

hi everyone! just registered *waves*

so, er... it's not very exciting really, but it's useful... i made a cushion for a baby to practise sitting up on. He sits in the middle and the soft outer bit catches his head when he falls over, which he likes to do a lot. I made it up as i went along - it's recycled out of some old bedding, and the robot fabric comes from a single duvet cover.

What a wonderful idea.  I too think it's obscene what those baby stores charge for stuff that isn't near as nice or practical as the things you can make.  Your baby looks very happy!

I thought I should add, as so many people commented on the fabric: the robot cover is made from a recently acquired child's single duvet cover from Next, 'retro robots' - available here, in case anyone else wants to cut up perfectly good bed linen. (or maybe even just use it as bed linen!)

I have been wanting one of these for my 5 month old and you have inspired me! I just whipped one up today. I would normally go and buy new stuff to make a project but I took your lead and grabbed a few things out of the 'to be upcycled pile' and came up with this.
