Cozy Camera Case Tutorial

I recently got a new Canon G10 camera (which I love!) and needed a case for it.  I couldn't bear to get one of those characterless black vinyl cases they sell, so I designed and made one myself.  This should fit a lot of point and shoot cameras, but is easily adjustable to smaller or larger cameras.  There are detailed instructions and a link to templates at amyalamode.  Enjoy!

I was thinking of making this for my son but I can't seem to open the templates.  Is it just me?  Also, is the little pocket big enough for spare batteries or does it have another purpose?

Actually, the little pocket is for spare memory cards.  I was going for two weeks to Viet Nam and had several 2GB memory cards as I tend to take a LOT of pictures when I travel.  AA batteries will not fit in there.  My camera has a special rechargeable battery that also does not fit, but it's pretty big.  Some smaller ones may fit.   Or you could keep a piece of candy in there.
