Amy Butler pattern questions

    Amy Butler pattern questions
    on: March 09, 2009, 09:31:58 AM
I just purchased Cabo Halter  and Domestic Goddess Aprons patterns.
Anyone here have experience making either of these patterns?
I'm not new at sewing, but probably a bit rusty over the years of not sewing garments.

Are these patterns pretty straight forward? Any quirks, tips, etc. you've come across??

    Thanks in advance.

Here's a couple links to some different AB pattern reviews from the blog:
      Lotus Tunic- http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=426
      Anna Tunic- http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=387

You may want to take a look for some tips and suggestions.  Overall, I think Amy Butler patterns are very well written with easy to understand instructions and helpful pictures.  I would recommend her patterns to any level of sewer.  Have fun!

I just bought the cabo halter too.  While I haven't done it yet, I did make the Lotus tunic and it was VERY easy to follow.  This was one of the first things I had made and I was very happy with how detailed and thorough it was.

I made the Cabo Halter a little over a month ago.  In my opinion it was pretty easy!  It was actually my first attempt at making clothing, I've sewn a lot but clothing always has intimidated me.

The instructions were clear, the pattern pieces were easy to work with.  I had no problems!  It turned out really cute, too. :-)

          Enjoy!

Good post! Although I've made a few of Amy Butler's things I've put of the Cabo Halter and Lotus Tunic because I'm too intimidated by making clothes.  Since a few others say they're easy I think I'll give them a whirl this spring.
