30 minute handbags

    30 minute handbags
    on: March 18, 2009, 01:40:58 PM
Spring handbags made from Dollar Store placemats.  Inspired from Spool's Tutorial here: http://100spoolsofthread.blogspot.com/2009/02/free-placemat-bag-tutorial.html .  These came together in 20-30 minutes!

I haven't figured out how to post pictures here, but they're on my blog: www.luscofamily.blogspot.com

Those are great.  The place mats are really cool.  Love your choice.

Looks Great!  I like the way you made the handles.  I have made the placemat purses before, but used ribbon or old belts or old purse handles.  I like the way yours turned out.

          Thanks for the tutorial.

I love 30 min. sewing ideas.  I have a newborn that likes to nurse frequently, so 30 min is about all I have to sew or do anything these days!

Love your version with the attached handle!  And a 'coated' placemat is a great idea for those of us who live in "rain country" !!
