Sewing the bottom of a bag

Sewing the bottom of a bag

    Hi ladies -
I've knit and felted a large bag and now I'm trying to make a lining for it. I had 4 separate sides and a bottom, but I can't quite figure out how to sew the bottom to the sides without it puckering and looking wonky? Is there a trick to a 3 dimensional corner?

      Hi Kelly,

Maybe this tutorial will help, see the section called "To attach the boxing".  I find it helpful to stop with the needle in at the corner, then make three snips into the boxing - one at the needle and one slightly behind and ahead.  Hope that helps!

It's actually for sewing a box pillow, but I think it would be the same concept - you just don't have to worry about attaching a top!
