Tip for managing quilt weight when quilting

Tip for managing quilt weight when quilting
    on: March 21, 2009, 12:08:57 PM
I like to make a "hump" in my quilt as I am quilting to minimize the amount of weight that I have to shift around.  This photo (also pasted in below) shows my set up mid-quilting.  I have also posted a video that shows how the "hump" works.  You can see my blog post about it at amy a la mode.  I hope someone finds this helpful!

Great tips! I wish I had seen this yesterday when I was going CRAZY wondering what people do with all the QUILT BULK, and I'm working on a small quilt! I'll use these for next time...

Thanks soooo much for the video and tips.  I'm about to start my first "big" quilt, and I'm trying to accumulate as many tips as possible!
