Wedding quilt

    Wedding quilt

One of the blogs that I follow is http://freemotion-kate.blogspot.com/2009/03/3-down-77-to-go.html .  It's a sweet little blog and she is getting married this summer.  She is making 10 inch square napkins for her wedding that she plans to sew into a quilt after the wedding.  I thought that it could be extra meaningful if other sewers/quilters/bloggers could make a square for her and send it.  Then not only would she be wrapped in a quilt of love from the attendees from her wedding, but also all of us out here who are bonded by our love for fabric and the needlecrafts....
I don't know what her fabric line/colorway is.... she describes it in another post as "turquoisy" colors.  I posted a comment on her blog about contributing to the napkin/quilt, so hopefully she will reply to the post with her fabric choice.  She does not know that I am posting this here, I just thought that if I were in her position I would think that the quilt would have such extra special meaning....  Just a thought.  Mary in Virginia

Yea!  I'm so glad someone else is interested!  Here's what she finally posted after I kept badgering her about it...  (she's very humble apparently):
"Mary: You crack me up! I am using Amy Butler's Daisy Chain and Moda's Soiree, both in every turquoise/aqua/spring green colorway I can get my hands on."
I'll ask her about how to get them to her.....

ok, so in her post today she accepts the idea of contributors to her wedding napkin/wedding quilt idea.  She has posted the specifics about fabric pattern/colors, sizes, and how she is putting hers together.  I'm a new sewer but I'm pretty sure I can ace this one!  So, since my stash is nothing but reds, oranges, yellows, and browns, I'm heading to the fabric store tomorrow to get some fabric (oh, twist my arm.....).  I'm going to put the link to her post and I think from here on out it looks like the business of this venture can be conducted through her site and related posts....
I'm so excited that others want to share in this too!  Thank you!
