Birdie sling (but smaller) pattern wanted

Good evening ,
I love the look of the Birdie Sling and have ordered the pattern. I would love to have an everyday purse that is similar in style but smaller .Does such a pattern exist ? If not, is it possible to alter the size of the Birdie Sling pattern?

Once you've purchased the pattern, you should be able to go to a copy shop and reduce the pattern pieces  by a percentage...say, 10 or 20%.  Use the same scale for all the pieces, naturally. 
You may want to bring your receipt and the pattern copyright bit that says you can make a copy for your own personal use - I 've had places balk at my request to copy/enlarge a knitting chart out of a book I own.  (This falls under fair use as long as you don't sell the copy!)

Thank you. :-) I am somewhat new to sewing and wondered about the copyright.I thought about reducing the pattern but didn't think about a copy shop. That makes perfect sense.
