Walking foot on babylocke esante
on: March 29, 2009, 03:09:37 PM
I have a babylock esante machine and I was trying to attach the walking foot to the machine in order to machine quilt and it is not attaching right. The foot is way up from the bottom feed dogs like if my material was supper thick. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am a newbie sewer and just have been teaching myself as I go along. Anyway if anyone has any ideas to help me figure out what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

Usually there's only one way to install a walking foot on a sewing machine. You have to unscrew and remove the pressure foot holder and screw, install the walking foot by matching up the screw holes and tightening the screw. There's only one hole so if you are installing it in this hole and it's too high still, I would think you need an adaptor of some sort.
I quickly googled Baby Lock walking foot and saw at the bottom of an instruction page it read: "ESE/ESE2, ESG/ESG2/ESG3 and ESL machines require the use of an adaptor for this foot." You may want to try a dealer to see what they recommend.
