Anyone know a pattern/or place to buy toddler sided lap shoulder top/onsie??

I want to make a dress for my toddler she is a 4T and I cant find a pattern or a shop that sells lap white tees or onsies beyond 24m size, anyone know anywhere (the lap shoulder tee/onesie is used in the pattern I have), please suggest!!  TIA Grin

I think that you could probably self draft one from a regular T pattern. I usually don't self draft but I know that I have seen somewhere that somebody did just that.

4T and 5T are difficult sizes to find. Drafting yourself is a great idea and not nearly as difficult as it sounds. Just make sure that you like the shape and fit of what you are drafting from, otherwise you will be making adjustments as well as figuring out the pattern, not so fun.

Here is a tutorial for a Kimono style top.  You could use T-shirt material and snaps as subs.  Good Luck!

This blog has a tutorial on drafting a t-shirt (regular sleeve and lap-shoulder tees).

You use a shirt that fits your child and draft the pattern from that.  I've used this method to draft a t-shirt pattern for myself and it worked wonderfully.

Ottobre. I just looked and issue 1/2007 has a lap tee and lap tee dress pattern that goes up to 98 cm (which is between 3 and 4 I think). I made the dress in a size 62 and an 80 (I think) and it runs VERY wide so you'd probably be fine using it for a 4 year old. I would just measure a shirt that fits against the pattern sheet first.

You can get Ottobre back issues at sewzannesfabrics.com.

if you are going to make a dress, why dont you do a proper dress?
it will look much better than a tshirt dress anyway, if you are going to make it from scratch...
little dresses and matching bloomers are very easy to sew and easy to fit for big babies.

i second the using  ottobre magazine.. very cute patterns.

tell us what you made... we'd love to see them!
