Another Japanese pattern

    Another Japanese pattern

    I finished another project from one of my Japanese sewing books... I'm a little addicted to these patterns!
    A girl's skirt with a double layered version as well as a regular single layer. I made the double layer. It has pleats across the front of the waist and a cute pocket on the front. It fits great because there is a double row of elastic across the back.

                        The books can be ordered online at a few places but there's also a Japanese book store in New York City that carries them. My hubby goes to NYC for business every now and then so I send him with my wish list and he picks them up for me. I think they have online ordering as well, and you can call them if you know the ISBN of a particular book you'd like.

                            That's adorable!  My girlie loves double-layer, twirly skirts and the pleats are are nice variation!   Well done!

                                The patterns are not in English. They do, however, have excellent diagrams. There is a bit to figure out but if you are a decent sewer you can figure most of it out by the diagrams. I plan to do a tutorial on my blog about working with these patterns... I just haven't gotten to it yet.
