Could you please post a picture of your ammo belts.  When I first read your post, I laughed at the idea of making ammunition belts, but it is so hard to come up with ideas for guys gifts.  I know alot of hunters so I am curious as to what it looks like.  Thanks!

I'm busy making curtains for my new house, and then I'll move on to pillows again.  I also have a bag I want to make for myself, and I'd really like to make some more clothes again ...

Currently working on a quilt for my best friend's birthday (my first big quilting project, too!).  Her birthday was earlier this month, but my goal is to send it out before the month ends!

I've been working on two bags as an order.  I was freaking out coz one of the patches (it's a 4 patch design) was a cow print and it bled!  I tried hand washing the area and instead of coming out, it bled through the whole bag.  So then I was going to make a whole new one, so I soaked the rest of the piece of the cow print, and that bled, too!  Aiyayaieeee!  So I landed up washing the fabric and the bag....what a nightmare!  LOL  Also made some composition book covers and two matching pencil cases.

                    momilomi-

too late for you now, I know, but have you tried washing fabrics with Shout Color Catcher?  It literally grabs the excess dye in the water from bleeding fabrics, even after they have already bled.  This saved my butt after we had a flood in our basement and I thought a king-size quilt I was working on (and nearly done with, just had to put on the binding) was ruined.  One wash with the color catcher and it was perfect again.

Wow Trina, you must have been sooo happy!

I am working on a pillow right now, but I am itching to try making my first quilt. I just can't get myself to cut the fabric yet... Tongue

I just started a Grandmother's flower garden quilt.  The picture of those cloth hexagons on the blog a few days ago inspired me.  I've never done this before but I found a good tutoral a couple of days ago and went to it.  I have three flowers and a bunch of hexs done so far.   It's a nice change of pace to get back to some hand sewing.

Hmmm. What's in the sewing machine is a plain canvas bag that needs a strap sewn on.

I have matchy Heather Bailey fish outfits cut out for the kids that have been sitting here for two months. I think it's Heather Bailey.

I have apron fabric draped on my mannequin for an apron sew-a-long.

I have two tote bags cut out and ready to sew.

I want to make myself a skort which I do have the fabric picked out for.

I finally picked out fabric for a blouse for me for a shir-a-long.

Things that weren't on that previous list but have been made since:

                              a skirt for my daughter
                              Three custom Sugar Snap skirts
Lots of pants cut off and finished into shorts
                              a tee-shirt refashion
                              a different skirt for me
a couple of reusable mesh drawstring produce bags
                              pajama shorts for me

I did make the shorts pattern to go under the skort and did a trial run of it which became pajama shorts, still need to transfer the alterations back to the pattern so I can then make the skort.

I am knitting a cardigan for my daughter, I think it is half finished.  I am about to start cutting a quilt out of the Moda Nest fabric,  and have fabrics cut out to make some Oliver & S sailboat pants for my son, and the sailboat top and skirt for my little girl.  I am also wanting to learn to embroider, as does my husband!!!  We will learn together.  Very weird...

I also  have fabric ready to make a queen size mixtape quilt by Oh Fransson but I am getting nervous about how big it is.  I might save that for a while!!
