On the sewing table right now are some knit jammies for my boys and some reusable snack bags.

The possibility pile of future projects is much bigger. Mulitple quilts that need to be finished, from wall hanging and three or four queen sized quilts, even one king. (Ai-yi-yi, what was I thinking, LOL.) A pair of shorts for one son, a blouse for me, a trenchcoat for me, a new applique quilt, .....um.....I know that's just the tip  of the iceberg.  But it's all my brain can  process right now. Ha, ha!

I am making small quilts for my nieces, one modified bento box and the other a geometric design. I also just bought a pattern for a car organizer as a surprise for my husband.

Receiving blankets and nursing cover (for gifts), working on a bright quilt (I'm so excited!) and a skirt for me.  What I also want to do (which means it may never happen...):
Make a winter dress coat for my 6 year old girl and 5 year old boy, a quilt for my son, a fallish quilt and much more Smiley

Well, I feel better about myself knowing I'm not the only with a forever-long to-do list!
               Right now:
--I'm testing out a quilt pattern
--going to the store to buy more fabric as my daughter's robe has been a nightmare since the first cut and I am starting over.
--machine-embroidering some names on football jerseys for my Dad
--mending a pair of pants for my husband.
--embellishing a few plain tee-shirts for myself
--thinking of starting about 15 other projects but holding myself to finishing these first!  And that doesn't include Halloween costumes or Christmas presents yet!!

I am making lots and lots of bat wings, princess dresses, and tutus.  When I manage to eek out a little time to sew for the family I am going to do a few overall style outfits for my little girls.  I got the cutest corduroy fabric.  I can't wait to share it with everyone. http://stitchesbyjeni.blogspot.com/

Ok Jeni, I love those bat wings with the tutu! Will you share how you made them?

I did a tutorial on my blog for the bat wings.  http://stitchesbyjeni.blogspot.com/2010/08/fairy-wings-bat.html  As for the tutu.  I used some left over satin to make a casing for some elastic.  I than used 3 layers of tulle I had cut off of some prom dresses a few years ago.  I gathered each layer of tulle on it's own and sewed each layer onto the satin.  I will get around to some tutu tutorials one of these days as well.

Well, I'm working on a couple of things.  One is a new design of my spankies (I've blogged about this at www.flamingoks.com) and a kimono from a vintage 80s McCalls pattern.  I inherited this pattern and thought I'd try it out on some old satin from my stash....that way, if it doesn't work out, only time is lost.  Wink

Sewing a few dresses for a trip we'll be taking soon.  The current dress is McCalls 9222.  A simple shift, but I've had to adjust the pattern to meet my screwy body shape Wink  Here's a link to my blog posting about it...http://www.flamingoks.com/2010/11/pattern-manipulations.html
