Checkbook cover??

    Checkbook cover??

Do you ladies use any interfacing when you make them? I made one for my mom & used a layer of decor bond fused on the back of the outside & wondered if I should put it on the inside fabric too. Do you? I kinda like the extra stiffness but don't want it to feel like too much!

With quilting cotton, I do use interfacing.  I use one layer of medium weight sew-on interfacing from JoAnn's (Pellon 40, I think).  It's the same stuff I usually use when making bags that I don't want to be super floppy or super stiff.  Here's some pics Smiley

Yes, otherwise the cotton gets stretchy after a lot of use.

I do use a fair amount of interfacing with them ... if you think about the fake-leather checkbook covers that you tend to get free with your checks, they are very stiff and they work well (even if they are a bit ugly!!).  So I make my own checkbook covers pretty thick, too.
