Gifts for guys?

    Gifts for guys?
    on: July 08, 2008, 09:04:10 PM
My daughter's summer camp is having a counselor appreciation day where each child brings their counselor's thank you gifts. I have tons of choices for the girl but what do I make the young man?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks! Beth

A messenger bag might be good, too.

I just made my brother-in-law a manly apron for his birthday. If the counselor likes to grill, he might like an apron.

Not sure of the name, but a cloth coffee cup cozy, to keep the cup from burning your hand?  Coffee sleeve, maybe?

It's always harder for guys, isn't it?  My stepson is leaving for college soon.  I bought 2 of these bolsters at IKEA for about $15 each.
I will sew my own covers, just because he appreciates my sewing.  He's a bit of a crafster himself.

I have a couple of these, they are really great for lounging in bed and watching TV.
I know he DOES like to lounge and watch TV Smiley

I have seen camo fabric for sale and wish now that I had bought it.  I think almost anything sewn out of camoflague will be OK for a guy.
I am new on this board, love it!!

they are tougher!  a patchwork scarf (you could repurpose flannel for the patchword and the backing to make it extra soft, cozy and green; a zipper pouch in a manly fabric for all his techno gadgets (my husband uses a girly one because it is what I had already made); a pencil case might even be helpful.  Good luck!
