Fabric Napkins

This is a great project for "green" folks.  I made these for my nieces' lunch boxes.

Those are beautiful!  I love the feel of real napkins and real dishes...that was something I always insisted on in college when all of my friends were eating off of plasticware.  Maybe I'm an odd bird, but it was comforting to use real tableware on the days that I was the most homesick.

What size are your napkins?  I've been thinking about making some out of FQ's, but I'm not sure if that is a practical size or if it's too big. 

I actually used fat quarters for these.  I got 2 fronts from one fat quarter and 2 backs from another.  So, I ended up with 10 napkins, but only used 10 fat quarters.  I cut them 10 1/4 inches square and used a 1/2 inch seam allowance.  So, they ended up being a 9 3/4 inches square.  I am feeling like I'm not making much sense.  I hope that is understandable.
