The pillows in the first picture are inspiring me to do one with an embroidery of a little Japanese girl for my daughter.

Thanks for the inspiration! I just finished a quilt like this and was at ends on how to quilt it. I love the chevron quilting and will try it on my coins quilt! What a great project for the weekend!

I keep reading/hearing about coin quilts but have never tackled one. I now see a good reason to keep scraps! I went to your blog (comfort stitching) and really liked your coil quilt. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for the tutorial. I've been looking at my scraps lovingly with the plan of making a coin quilt when I get enough scraps. It's a great reason to appreciate scraps!
