Sewing with double cotton gauze?

    Sewing with double cotton gauze?
    on: May 16, 2009, 07:44:00 AM
Just a couple days ago, I ordered a couple of the Heather Ross Far Far Away fabrics.  They arrived yesterday, and they're darling.  But now I'm in need of some help from the more experienced quilters/sewers on the board.  I'm a newbie at all of this stuff, but I've been collecting Heather Ross fabrics--mostly from the West Hill and Lightning Bugs lines--for a quilt.  The plan is to include only Heather Ross prints and a plain sashing fabric.  I ordered the Far Far Away prints to try to include some colors that my Heather Ross stash was a little short on.  But now I'm wondering, will it cause any trouble to include the double cotton gauze fabric with the regular quilting cottons?  Do I have to do anything special with the gauze material?  It's lovely stuff, and I'd love to use it for the quilt.  I've tried a couple web searches, but haven't found any helpful info on sewing with this sort of fabric...

Thank you!  Clearly, I didn't do a very good job with my web search...  Or maybe it's just been longer since I googled than I was thinking it had been!
