I put this apron together for all of my tools that I am losing on my cut table as I sew. It's been pretty handy so far. This is one of those projects that I've been meaning to make for a long time and just haven't gotten to it. I looked at a lot of different sewing aprons and combined some thoughts into this apron. Somewhere I saw angled pockets which is indeed nice so that you poke yourself with sharp implements...less.
The main fabric is vintage kitchen fabric from the 40's. It came in 36" width, which while a bit odd made it the perfect size for a small apron. The pockets are from kona cotton and some red plaid sateen I picked up at a thrift store. I trimmed it out in blue ric rac because it just seemed appropriate.
