If anyone is interested a shall  soon be starting up a quilt-a-long on my blog.
I will be going through how to make a machine stitched hexagon quilt, it's super fast and really easy!!
I tried the design on some headboard covers I made recently for my daughters and now I am making a full size quilt.  You do not have to make a quilt to join in the fun it could be a pillow or a bag or whatever you like really!

to join up just leave a comment under this post on my blog

I'm not sure I've got time to do a quilt-a-long right now, but I will bookmark you for sure to keep up with at my own pace.  Thanks!

Hi Annie,  I've just e-mailed you this message but for the benefit of any one else interested i've also included it here!
Glad you are interested in the quilt a long!  I thought it would be a great idea for a few of us to make a quilt each with a bit of company, it's perfect if you've never done one before as I will go through the different stages on my blog starting with selecting your fabrics which I hope to post in the next day or so.
Firstly you do not have to make a quilt it could be a cushion or whatever else you fancy.
Secondly you can quilt a long at your own pace, don't worry if I'm already selecting fabrics or if I've started to sew, I always need to be slightly ahead so that when you are ready you will have the information you need at your fingertips.
If you ever get stuck or confused feel free to ask for help in the comments section of my current blog post.
I will be adding a list of all the participants in my sidebar, that way you will be able to click on their names and see how they are getting on too!  We have some great people joining us and we also have other new beginners like yourself.
Do you have a cutting mat, rotary cutter and sewing machine??  You can make a quilt without these but they really do make life a whole lot easier!!
I hope I have answered you query here, anything else just give me a shout!!

Oooo . . . I would love to make a hexagon quilt!  I fondly remember one that my grandmother made when I was a little girl.  I'm traveling for the month of June, so I won't get in on the sew-along, but I will definitely be sewing one up when I get home.
