Binding clothes

    Help!!! GrRr..

    I have tried my binding foot and the plain ole binding way as for quilts to bind the arm holes and neck edges, but nothing seems to work, can anyone please help me?  Huh

    I am totally lost..trying to make some clothes for our grand children..hopefully before christmas...thank goodness I have started right now!

      With binding neck edges and arm holes, it's all about easing or stretching the binding to fit the curve properly. First, make sure you are using bias binding.  Binding cut on the bias will lay much nicer around curves. 
      Next, consider the curve of the edge you're trying to bind.  The curves you mentioned are both inward or concave curves.  These require you to slightly stretch your binding as you are stitching.  This will allow the curve to pull inward once the binding is on. 
      An outward or convex curve should have binding eased as it is sewed to allow for the outward curve to keep it's shape.
      I hope I haven't confused you.  Binding can be frustrating and tricky even for experienced sewers.  Take it slow and relax.  You'll master those tricky edges in no time.
