Where to Find Pillow Forms?

    Where to Find Pillow Forms?
    on: July 21, 2008, 10:07:05 AM
I need to make some pillows to go with my new couch.  But it seems like all the pillow forms at Joann's are kinda mushy and all square.  Is there any other good place I can look?  I want something a little firmer, but not rock hard.  I don't really want to stuff the pillows, although that seems to be the best way to get the exact size (which I don't know yet) that I need.

You can use leftover (or new) pieces of quilt batting to create your own pillowforms. Cut two layers to the shape and size you want, serge around three sides, stuff with polyfill or whatever you like (including chopped up batting), then serge up the open side.  This is a great way to use up leftover batting.

I actually know a lot of people just use their old pillows as forms and just sort of re-upholster them.  Otherwise you could always make your own pillow form using batting, polyfill or what ever you like to have the feel you like.
