This is a quilt I started for my husband years ago.


It is the 12 Labors of Hercules and will act as a tapestry in his mantuary.
Lessons learned along the way -
always buy good fabric. The top of the quilt was made from
cheap fabric purchased from a large discount store. I think this is why I originally stopped quilting the quilt. It was such a pain to work worth - not forgiving at all.
Ditto on the thread. Good thread made a difference and I was not expecting it to.
And -
just do it. There were many things on this quilt I had never tried before. At first I was afraid to screw up the quilt but by the end my thought was - what is the worst that could happen? I have to re-do something. The best? I learn a new skill.
