1/4" foot question

    1/4" foot question

    I have a Kenmore 19233 machine & when I use the 1/4" foot, I have to move the needle to the left or else it will break.   Since I have to move the needle, I had to figure out in exactly what position it should be in so I have a nice 1/4" seam.  Does anyone else have this problem with their machines?

      Almost makes me wonder if you got the foot for the vertical bobbin machines.  I don't need to move the needle position when I use the 1/4" foot on my 19233, but if I use that foot on one of the vertical bobbin machines, I have to move the needle.
