Bernina malfunctioning after a pause in activity--suggestions?

    This is a bit hard to explain... my Bernina Aurora is not pulling my first stitch tight following a pause in sewing. The machine  leaves a loop at the top of the stitch. This only seems to happen when I'm top stitching and using my top stitching foot with the needle positioned all the way to one side or the other. If you can figure out what I'm talking about, do you have any suggestions? Does my machine need servicing (it was brand new last fall, but used extensively)? Thanks!

      Can you contact the dealer you purchased your machine from?  I would start there.  Sometimes a simple phone call with over the phone instructions can take that headache away.   Grin
