The other day I realized that summer is flying by, but I have yet to make myself a skirt this year. I thought it would be a good idea to start a summer skirt sew-along.
And for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere, you can join in and make your summer skirt 6 months ahead of schedule!

If you'd like to join, leave a reply.
- There's no set time limit, but since it is a summer skirt, you might want to try to get it done this summer.

- You choose your pattern and fabric. And if you could share it with us, that would be great.
- Lastly, if you come across any helpful tips or have advice to share, please feel free to share it with us. We're all in this together!
To kick-off the Summer Skirt Sew-Along, here are the details for my skirt:
My Pattern is
Hip Skirts. I will be sewing the pleated skirt and this is my first time at pleats. Hopefully, it'll be as easy as it looks!
For my fabric, I choose two: one fabric will be for the outside pleats and another different print will be for the inside, "peak-a-boo" pleats.
I choose two from Amy Butler's awesome
MidWest Modern 2 line:
Trailing Cherry Sand for the outside pleats and
Floating Buds Aqua for the inside pleats.
