Summer Skirt

Well, I didn't know about the sew-along, but I finished a summer skirt this week!  I also started a blog, so you can read about it at  http://laundryontheline.wordpress.com/.   I used the Sew What Skirts book for the pattern - I like the way it turned out, but next time I think I will try a skirt with a zipper! 

Cute skirt.  I went to your blog and it looks like you are off to a great start.  You are right, the nice ladies at the fabric stores don't always know best.  Do your own thing.

Thanks!  I am glad I followed through - I don't know why I am so intimidated by fabric-store salespeople, I guess I always assume they have more sewing experience than I do!
