trouble with darning or mending on husquvarna platinum 715

    Can anyone help me with mending on viking machine.  I read instructions with the machine, and they say to "Sew over hole, than tap reverse, and the machine should go back and forth twelve times. Mine does not, it just keeps going in reverse off the end of the material.
    I know there must be another step I am missing.....but the instruction book does not say so.

      The HV website has some videos for the platinum series. The 715 isn't there but the 955 is and has a short video on darning.

      It really makes it look simple - select the darning stitch, stitch to set the length, press reverse.
