Childrens Clothes!! Share your pictures!!!

    Childrens Clothes!! Share your pictures!!!

This is a picture of my little one in a pillowcase top and capri pants that I made on my own without a pattern. I am VERY new to sewing so I have alot to learn. The pants could have been a bit wider but thankfully she is skinny and they fit! I will definitely try and find a great pant pattern that will work for both girls. Anyone know of such a great pattern?? Smiley

This dress is from the Anna pattern from Farbenmix. My toddler loves princess so this was her first princess dress from mommy. I used my ruffler foot to make the ruffles. I loved how quickly it went!! Now I want to put ruffles on everything  Grin

OOoooooo...Children's clothes is a passion of mine. Love your little sweetie in their adorable outfits. I have sewn a lot of children's clothing over my 30+ years of sewing, but here are some favorites.

Those are all such cute kids clothes.  If you are looking for a good pants pattern, I recommend the Britches & Bloomers pattern.  It would work for boys or girls.  It is easy to make, too.

Here are a couple of outfits I've made:

Here's a dress also made with the Farbenmix Anna pattern:

Here's my daughter's Egg Hunt dress that I made:

Here's a simple skirt that I made for my daughter:

I'm currently working on a really cute pair of Farbenmix Paula pants and am blogging about it at:

I really love kids clothes.  They are so much fun to make, and the models are so adorable!

I just made an outfit for my daughter using the britches and bloomers pattern!

          Here is a picture:

Hopefully that worked, I've never posted a pic before.

I also blogged about the outfit here:

Did you use a pattern for the pillowcase top and bloomers?  I am looking for a good bloomers pattern...

ok, I cant figure out how to post a pic!!!

Both of my girls BEGGED me to make them historical outfits and then matching dresses for their American Girl dolls. I relented.

Rosemary, my eldest, has Kit who is from 1933. I found a vintage child's pattern from this era on ebay and with a couple of minor adjustments, here is the result:

Here is the underdress (I had to put a snap on the front and back to keep the skirt in place):

            Close up:

My second daughter, Esther, has the Felicity doll who is from the American Colonial Period.

And a couple months later, I finally finished their matching doll dresses:

I'm such a sucker especially when they both tackle me and smother me with hugs and kisses. It's all worth it.

Just a few things I've made, some oldies and some newer. I try to knock out two or three outfits a week.

Self-drafted sundress using the new Bell Bottoms fabric:

Self-drafted halter top and modified Britches & Bloomers:

Oliver+S puppet show tunic and shorts:

Britches & Bloomers (made for SMS) and self-drafted top:

Here's another outfit that I just finished.  I used the Farbenmix Paula pattern and Jennifer Paganelli's Bell Bottoms fabric.  I'm in love with this outift.  The halter is my own pattern.  It is blogged at: http://wondermommy.wordpress.com/2008/06/01/paula-pattern-sew-a-long/

Such gorgeous outfits for all those adorable girls! But let's not forget about the boys! Here's a racecar driver jumpsuit I made for my nephew's birthday in a few weeks. The "patches" are cut from some NASCAR themed fabric I found that had little words and pictures on it.
This was my first project ever with sleeves, and I used the tutorial from the Sew, Mama, Sew blog.
Of course now my "model," my son, wants one to match his cousin's!

I'm going to try to have that tutorial up by the beginning of July.  I have another sew-a-long that is about to begin on my blog, so that tutorial (for the halter) will be next on my list.

Here's a simple shirred top that I made today. Its a bit big for Caitlin but she will grow. Its nothing like all the gorgeous clothes you ladies have  made.
