"Glinda" Dress

    "Glinda" Dress
    on: July 29, 2009, 06:20:23 PM
My daughter wants to be Glinda, the good witch of the North, for Halloween.  Simple enough--basic pink dress with tulle overlay on the skirt (I already have pink tulle with slivery glitter) and puffy tulle sleeves.  I was sure that I saw this exact pattern somewhere.  I even looked at the yardage to see if I had enough tulle.

Now, of course, I can't find that pattern to save my life!  I've looked through the big 3 (Butterick, McCall & Simplicity) and I just don't see it.  If anyone knows of such a pattern, please let me know!  Thanks!

Maybe McCalls 5494, the Belle costume with minor modifications and in pink?

I think you're looking for Simplicity pattern 4139. The front image shows Dorothy but I think Glinda is in there too. There's also an older Simplicity pattern 7801 which you might pick up on eBay. Hope this helps!

Ah, I found it!  McCall 4948.  I don't need to make the lower part of the sleeve, so now I really do need to go see just how much of that glittery tulle I have!

          Thanks for the help!  Cheesy
