Little Hooded Jacket - sleeves?

Hello...I am sewing the "Little Hooded Jacket" by favorite things patterns, and am finding that the directions for how and when to close the side-seams of the sleeves are not that clear...do I sew up the sleeve sides when sewing up the jacket sides?

Also, attaching the sleeve lining to the cuffs - would it be easier to sew that seam BEFORE attaching the lining to the jacket and turning it? Or is that going to keep me from turning the jacket somehow?

If anyone has made the jacket before, I would greatly appreciate tips on how to best do the sleeve finishing seams...thank you very much in advance!

Hmmmm.... I'm a big fan of the Favorite Things patterns and have made several of the jackets but its been a while. I don't recall doing the pattern differently than written but I can't be sure. I have some errands to run but I'll dig out my copy of the pattern later and see if I can help you.
