boys are harder. . . big ones, especially:). here are some ideas:
Handkerchiefs in a favorite color--make them double sided, or with a simple slight hem--add a little embroidery for fun. My grandpa loved his--with Gpa, V and a fish--what I call him, his initial and something he loves. For my father, I made one with Papa embroidered in my son's handwriting. He doesn't use it, but it sits on his dresser caddy where he sees it every morning.
A scarf made from some manly flannel and wool is nice, too. I used some flannel charm squares and backed it with fleece for my husband.
I've made big block quilts for my brother (10" blocks so they go together super quick). You can stitch them on a diagonal or tie them. I've also made a manly quilt for my husband out of strip blocks.
A fleece hat and mitten set is nice.
A set of pouches for all things techy.
A messenger bag (my husband uses his for his computer and work stuff).
A grill tool caddie might be fun for a guy.
Hmmm. . . you'll find some of these at my blog,
http://bluebirdstudio.blogspot.comGood luck. I'd love to know what you make.
