Heirloom Sewing

    Greetings all you sewing wizards...I am a newbie and wondered if there are any Heirloom fanatics like me out there.
    Would love to exchange ideas and stories...example: just returned from Europe( 3 countries) and purchased laces and trims in each country!!! I was like a kid in a candy store. the best was in Italy when a market set up in the square outside our hotel...great stuff in general...and didn't think I would fine sewing notions, oh no, was I wrong....a complete store on wheels! Got about E60.00 (euros) worth of swiss embroideries, insertion and edgings...prices were reasonable and designs were different enough from usa! Looking forward to participating in this BLOG!

      J Stern dessigns does some gorgeous heirloom sewing. I have wanted to play with candlewicking and pin tucks but just haven't gotten to it yet.
