Sharps

Awhile back, I posted a plea for help because my needle seemed to be having trouble puncturing the fabric without pushing it into the bobbin case.  I was using a new, sharp, universal needle as I always do.  I was told to try "sharps."  I just have to say that it makes a huge difference!  I will always buy them now!  They are working really well for me.  Thank you!

You're welcome!  I'm glad to hear that it worked out.  I used to buy Universals as well, but now only buy Sharps.

Me too! This made a huge difference and now it's all I use.  I mostly sew on cotton with interfacing and the stitch quality is so much better.  I also had to learn to change my needle a lot, sometimes even 1/2 way through a project.  I usually change it to top-stitch, then use that needle to sew up the next project and then change it again to topstitch.  That way I'm always using a new needle when the stitches are showing!
