What machine works with elastic thread?

What machine works with elastic thread?
    on: August 28, 2009, 12:42:44 PM
OK, Im trying to remain calm, as I must shirr!

I posted before about getting elastic thread to work in my Brother. I gave up on that after numerous tries. I bought a new Kenmore 15343 & the sucker is already jammed as in, I need to return to the store.

I cannot move the hand wheel. I stupidly decided to not try regular thread first, but immediately had a problem with pulling up bobbin thread. I even tried with regular thread, so I finally got that working but maybe thats what jammed the machine. I wont go into details as its boring but I got thread pulled up & put my foot on foot pedal, not even one stitch & its jammed.

Anyway what machines do people have that work with elastic thread?? Preferably something inexpensive since the only reason Im getting it is for shirring!!

OK, Ill answer my own question!

I exchanged the kenmore 15343 that was a dud that I got & threaded the new machine & voila!
Im psyched & can't wait to shirr! Yippeee!

Of course the lines i drew for the dress weeks ago disappeared already so Ill have to wait until tomorrow to attempt the dress.
