I really need help! Purchased an older model (901). It was new in box. I got it threaded ready to go. Everything plugged in lights on. Put my foot on the pedal and nothing. Can anyone help please tell me if you have had this problem. I’m really hoping it is just something to do with the foot.

A Bernina 901?? or some other brand?? Has it been serviced recently?

IF it is a  Bernina, the machines of this series are known for having issues with the controllers at times. The down side is that replacement controllers for these machines aren't cheap ($150-200), but sometimes the y can be repaired rather than replaced.

Have you contacted the person or place that sold you the machine?  They might be familiar with it and have some suggestions.

I always suggest that folks test sew with used machines before purchasing to make certain that everything is in order.  If you can't test sew, and are buying it from a reputable seller, then make sure they offer some sort of guarantee against mechanical issues when the machine gets to you.  (who will pay return shipping, etc..)
