    When I cut this out, I thought I would never be able to make it.  There were 4039 pieces (slight exaggeration).  But I made it through it, and I'm pretty pleased.  It's got 3 zippered pockets, plus a hanging tool pocket on the inside.

      Wow.  Nice job and way to stick it out!  Her patterns can be overwhelming.

          This is really beautiful. I am pretty new to sewing...have made a few potholders and about 10 Amy Butler frenchy bags (everything I've posted on this forum have been frenchy bags, sadly) but I am so nervous to try zippers and pockets.
          This messenger bag is so gorgeous though that I really think I need to try to overcome my fear and do it...a bag with lots of pouches and pockets is SO much more handy than a big old sack of empty space. Congratulations - this bag is awesome!
