I just recently finished a pair of PJ's for one of my little girls.  I used the Oliver + S Bedtime Story Pajamas pattern and I loved it.  This is the second pattern I have used from Oliver + S and I cannot say enough good things about their patterns.  Not once did I have to stare at the instructions for hours wondering what in the world I was supposed to do next.  The instructions are very clearly worded and the pictures are actually helpful.  In addition, the pattern pieces are printed on slightly heaver paper than most tissue-like pattern pieces.  Here are some pictures of my final product: http://dearmrsreese.wordpress.com/2009/08/17/jamma-jamma-jamma-pj/

I just finished up the pajama pants in Heather Ross's Weekend Sewing book. It's a good pattern--very beginner friendly.

I blogged about it here: http://kakorner.blogspot.com/2009/09/heather-ross-pajama-pants.html

If you make this pattern, please note that the fabric requirement is off. The book says 2 1/4 yards. The errata says 2 1/2. I just got by with 2 1/2 yards, and I "pre-hemmed" them because I'm short. If you're taller than 5'2'', you might even need more than 2 1/2 yards.

Next I need to make some Christmas pjs for my son!

What perfect timing!  Both the kids are in need of new summer PJs and was going to get making them this weekend.  Just need to work out a top pattern really and get some fabric.

My 2 girls are in need of pjs. They've both done some serious growing over the winter so now everything is short. This sew-long is just perfect to encourage my inspiration and motivation for making pjs.

Oh good! I need some motivation here. I have some nice black cotton jersey eyelet that my mom got on sale a couple of years ago. I've been meaning to make myself and my daughter matching loungewear. And she definitely needs new pajamas.

HA!  For once I am ahead of the game, having not made just one but FOUR pairs of pjs!  Hee hee, this is great.  Only a few more pair to go and i think we will be all set for the fall.

BTW, for the pants I used the excellent tute at instructables.com:
                  http://www.instructables.com/id/How_to_Sew_Your_Own_Pajama_Pants/

Not only are they really easy (and FREE, sorry SMS), they are also hilarious.  One excerpt, where she's talking about how to determine the rise: " If the rise is too high, you'll have grandpa pants that hike up to your armpits and you'll end up outside shouting at kids to get off your lawn."

I've never made pajamas before, so this is all new to me, but I figured that I was up for a challenge.  I'm going to make pajamas for myself, following this pattern:  http://www.sewmamasew.com/ccp0-prodshow/PTFTNN.html.  I figure that if I mess them up, they're just for me anyway so it won't matter.   Cheesy

DD1 (7 years old), Lola, and I went to the shop and picked out our fabric yesterday.  We are going to do the Slumber Buns pattern, which has sizes for both adults and children.  She has her own sewing machine and has been bugging me about making something other than pillows and square book bags.  I think this will be a  good intro to patterns for her.

This great timing! I bought a pattern for me and my girsl, and I planned on using OLD bed sheets. Thanks so much

My mom and 4 of her sisters are getting together in Tahoe next month.  This is a big deal because my mom and two of my aunts live here, in Guam.  The others are in spread out in California.  So for their get together I'm going to try to make them all pajamas.   Tongue

I like to use old t-shirts to make pajamas.  It's recycling and means you'll have extra soft pajamas.

Yay- looks like we've got a great group signed up already!  I made some pj's for everything in the family except me so I'm making myself a pair (or several) pj bottoms.  Now I need to shop for fabric...

I've got a pair cut out for my Daughter, and pants for my son...I went to a charity store and found the fabric!  Just need some fabric for my son's PJ top...went and learnt how to use my overlocker today to so all ready to whip them up on the weekend.  My son is hanging out for them!

I wasn't sure what to do for a pattern, then remembered my aunt had given me some of her old (from when I was a kid) patterns and there was a kids PJ pattern in there! Perfect.  Did need to cut a larger size bottom for DD to fit over her cloth butt though.

This pattern is exactly what i was looking for, but can someone explain the 2nd option for enlarging the pattern?  It says, "Place pattern on copier and enlarge square to 1" grid."  The grid lines on the pattern piece are of several different sizes--is there one that I should be enlarging to equal 1"?   Huh

I have worked with patterns before, but not needed to enlarge one from a single page.  Any help would be welcome!

                                Many thanks.
