I love the colors. And the alligator is TOOO cute. Neat choice to use the same color for the border and binding.

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful compliments on my quilt. I really appreciate it. I've had a few emails about my fabric choices, so I'll do my best to help out. Almost all of it was purchased at my local Spotlight (That's like a Michael's for those in the states) with the exception of the Kokeshi Dolls. I mixed material types because I was after colour combinations that looked good rather than materials the same. I also mixed cream & white which is unusual but worked with the bright colours.

                                Here's a rundown of what I used:
                                Front:
Red Spots - Spots and Stripes basic collection, Spotlight
Green Solid - "Leaf" coloured from cotton section
Kokeshi - Yui Kokeshi in Black from Alexander Henry
Yellow Solid - "Olympic Gold" broadcloth
Text - Dick & Jane Sentence Structure in Cream from Michael Miller
Red & Blue Plaid - Pampered Pooch Puppy Plaid from Moda
Blue Birds - Unknown fabric from Spotlight quilting department.
I was to say "Symphony" or "Simplicity" wish I knew! I'd love more
Green Dots - from Sweet Treats in green and chocolate (again Spotlight quilting section)

                                Back:
I'm headed to the store today. I'll see if I can find the name of the print. I think it's "safari", but I'll confirm.

Thanks again for all of your kind words. They really help a new quilter!!

                                Amy
