Anyone else sewing Halloween costumes?

I know, the rest of you are all done right? 

Come on, who else besides me hasn't started? I bought the fabric two weeks ago for my daughter's costume and I haven't started. Ugh. My son finally has his mind made up and I am trying to decide to buy or make. I will have to at least make his hat. I probably shouldn't put that off too long.

Can we have an encouragement and sharing thread here? Anyone who has already finished costumes for this year post your photos here to motivate the rest of us to finish up!

I am girl...just started on them yesterday and need them for Sunday Boo at the Zoo!!  Oh, and I FINALLY slip-covered my ugly office chair, tried to upload it to your flickr group and my laptop locked up...?  I'll try again later!  I haven't blogged about it yet...but soon!!

 I just found out that the Pumpkin Party we are going to on Saturday is a dress-up party, yikes! I may only have one done by then, we'll see.

Oh my gosh...what an awesome costume!!  That is the cutest little leopard...so sweet!!  Great job!!

I admit I haven't started either.  I was hoping to just sit this one out but one of my former students wrote me yesterday and said how excited she was to see me and my baby on Friday.  I can't disappoint her--it would break my heart.  So I have some red lame that will be a nice superhero cape for my nearly 6 month old son, and since I've been sewing several purses lately, I thought I'd make a paper dress out of brown paper bags and call myself a bag lady.

I love the bag lady idea, elizabeth. I also just got invited to a costume party, so maybe I'll borrow that idea!

Here is my son's costume. He challanged me with jih request. But it was a fun challenge. So far, it's gotten rave reviews at the few Halloween events we've attended.
