How to serge the inside of a winter hat to finish?

How to serge the inside of a winter hat to finish?

    Hi-

I've been playing around with my new serger and its been great! My only problem is, how do you finish the inside of a hat? I usually turn the fabric in, then stitch along the edge..how do you do this with a serger to get a nice "serged" look around the outside?

    Confused!

pin all the seam allowance of the brim towards the hat center, keep the hat good-side-up and serge.
yes, you are serging blind, you have to feel the thicker layer(the layer formed by 3 layers of fabric from folding the seams up) with your hands and serge on that.
      clear as mud?

        Ha!

I DON'T get it! Clear as mud I guess. I got the whole part where your hat is rightside out, but how do you slip it under the serger and then go around the top part of the brim? I need  video tutorial! HA!

        thanks!
