    My little girl started tap this year, and of course with growing feet I looked (and found!) some great tap shoes at the thrift store.  When Katie's dance teacher told me about button tap shoe closures she couldn't find in stores anymore...of course I thought that "I can make that!"

    I just wanted to pass on the idea in case someone found it useful!  (it is the second picture in the post) Cheesy

    I just covered buttons with scraps and attached them to hair elastics...instant shoe closures!

        Thanks for this idea. I was getting tired of looking for the ribbons for her tap shoes since she pulls them completely out when she takes the shoes off. Then I remembered this post!
