Wardrobe update with repurpose

Hello there.
I've been thinking of "updating" my wardrobe, but with today's economy, there is no chance I can really do any shopping (trying to start a business, too, so I really don't have the means to go out to shop).
I was wondering if anyone knows some good patterns or tutorials (for free) that I could use to repurpose some sheets and pillow cases into new clothes.  I have two white sheets, one blue, one pink, and a blue and white stripes, along with several pillowcases.  I inherited these from my grandmother while she was moving to a smaller house.
I'm looking mainly for skirts and tops, possibly pants.  I'm in my late twenties, and still in good shape, so I want to look good in the clothes I wear.  I'll be looking forwards to responses (and I'm looking at some of the tutorials posted in blog right now).
