I'm attempting my first wonky log cabin for the Wrap Them in Love sew-along. Its so much fun, and hopefully there's a girly-girl who will love the pinks/purples as much as I do!

I mailed two quilt tops to Wrap Them In Love in December (they have been acknowledged already). Wonderful project for SMS readers! Thank you!

I asked my mother to help me out with this - I'm making an irish chain quilt (and we caught batting on sale)! I'm so excited...of course, I have to get my butt in gear and iron out the fabric I washed yesterday and start cutting! It's going to be a mad sewing fiasco at some point - but that's how all my quilts go it seems...lol.

I'm finishing up my binding today and getting ready to send my quilt off on Monday. What a great way to start off my year by sewing for someone else. I had my 5-year-old help me lay out my design and so we added her name to the quilt label...next up is the fat quarter bundle she picked up at JoAnn's awhile back. We're going to use it to make a quilt for a little girl. What a great way to teach my daughter about both quilting and giving and I get to spend time with her too! Thanks SMS for telling us about this.
